20 Millions trees

Jimmy Donaldson, better known by his online alias "MrBeast", has kicked off a project to plant 20 million trees by January 1st, 2020.

Donaldson has been creating Youtube content since 2012 like reading the dictionary in one sitting (which took him about 8 hours), counting to 100 thousand (which took 40 hours), and taking the longest single uber ride across the entire United States.

With 25.3 million subscribers and over 3.5 billion views, Donaldson has been dominating the youtube space for some time and is no stranger to spreading his wealth around. He is constantly creating content where he gives away large amounts of money, gifts, and prizes for challenges. He as opened a free car dealership, donated 100 thousand dollars to various live streamers, and paid people 10 thousand dollars to eat ghost peppers.

Now he is taking his philanthropy to the next level by kick-starting a new project to plant 20 million trees by the start of next year. The project has already reached over 8 million trees with some notable names making donations to the cause including this nonchalant tweet from Elon Musk:

If you would like to make a donation, head over to the website.
