It's not a laughing matter, but the Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition is hoping that a few laughs will help get some support for the work they are as a watchdog over watersheds around the lake

3) A Parade Of Pooches
Puppies are going to be taking over St. Vincent Park this weekend for the annual COPE Service Dogs Buddy Up event to help raise funds to support the training of the pups and the programs they support, such as Canines in the Classroom and Reading Buddies.

4) ALS Walk
Another fundraising activity is happening in Barrie this weekend. The ALS Walk is happening to support ALS research and has been paying some dividends.

5) Get Rythm When You Get The Blues
If you like the blues, and maybe even a little bit of jazz, then you're going to love the next few days in Barrie. The Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival kicks off today and runs through next week!
