Window peeper nabbed by Barrie police had warrants for his arrest

The suspect is accused of peering into the windows of several homes

A man has been arrested by Barrie police, accused of peering into the windows of homes on Friday morning.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., police responded to a Hickling Trail residence after a homeowner reported a suspicious male looking into their front window.

When police arrived, he was already gone.

But a short time later, police were notified about a similar incident on Hopkins Road, and while responding, they located a man matching the description as he stood in front of a home on Hickling Trail.

Police say the man was “uncooperative” with officers and he was taken into custody.

He was charged with obstructing police and two counts of trespassing at night.

When police learned his identity, they discovered the 29-year-old of no fixed address was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to comply with a probation order and failing to comply with an undertaking.
