Winnipeg Jets unveil 10th season logo to pay tribute to Dale Hawerchuk
On the same night the Jets invited Crystal Hawerchuk to announce their first pick in the NHL draft
The Winnipeg Jets announced just before the NHL draft on Tuesday that they have made a slight change to their 10th anniversary logo. The change was made to pay tribute to former Jets superstar Dale Hawerchuk, who died in August following a year-long battle with cancer.

Hawerchuk famously wore #10 during his 9 seasons in Winnipeg. The Jets are celebrating their 10th season in Winnipeg, and also held the 10th overall pick in Tuesday’s NHL draft. The Jets used that pick to draft Cole Perfetti from the Saginaw Spirit.
