Winterfest 2019

So Canadian Eh?

Another successful Winterfest is in the books. The weather warmed up and allowed us all to come out of hiding for some classic Canadian fun.

Simcoe St. was blocked off for the 2-day event, transforming Heritage Park and Meridian place into the perfect place to explore with family and friends.

The festival featured many beautiful sights including ice sculptures, snow sculptures and winter kites filling the skies above Lake Simcoe.

Food trucks were busy all day as people lined up for some classic Canadian goodies. Two words...Beaver. Tail.

Some people even said they only came out because of the treats!

A little sweet & savoury.

The days were filled with activities including street performances, lumberjack shows, winter mini games and of course the annual polar dip.

Barrie Fire and Emergency Service were on-site to make sure the event ran safely.

What a great weekend in downtown Barrie! We are already looking forward to next year.
