
A North York resident was handed charges by Southern Georgian Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) related to a fraud investigation involving livestock.
The investigation was originated in Tay Township and was initiated by members off the OPP Crime Unit in February.
Investigators initiated the investigation after a complaint regarding the transportation and financial details of livestock being moved from a farm in Tay and sold at a stockyard sale in Cookstown in September.

Police eventually identified a suspect that was known to them and issued a warrant once the investigation was completed.
Members of the Toronto Police Service acted upon the warrant and arrested the suspect after an interaction Friday.
A 28-year-old woman from North York was taken into custody and booked on four charges relating to fraud and theft.
She was released from custody an will appear in court later this month.
