Barrie Police have charged a 31-year-old woman of no fixed address after they responded to a report of mischief around 1:30 Thursday morning and discovered the front glass door of a Bayfield Street convenience store was broken.

Police say for reasons unknown the woman is alleged to have kicked the door and shattered the glass.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the suspect sitting on the ground in front of the store.

Once the woman was taken back to police headquarters for further investigation, they learned she was bound by a probation order that was breached as a result of breaking the glass door.

The woman was charged with mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.

She has a court date in August.
