Woman charged with failing to report crash after gas pump knocked to the ground in south Barrie

Nobody hurt, no fuel spilled

Talk about gas and dash!

The Barrie Police Service confirms a 30-year-old woman has been charged with failing to report a collision after a gas pump was struck and knocked down on Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were called to a gas bar at the corner of Yonge Street and Coxmill Road around 10 a.m. to secure the scene despite reports there was no fuel leaking from the downed pump.

Fire crews held the scene while repairs were conducted and police investigated. Charges were subsequently laid.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
