Jaws of life used to free adult and child from overturned car in Barrie

An adult and a child were taken to the hospital for treatment after a car rolled over in Barrie on Saturday afternoon.

It happened on Dunlop Street East at Berczy Street.

Deputy Fire Chief Eric MacFadden told Barrie 360 that firefighters had to extricate two individuals from the vehicle while it was on its side.

He was unaware of the extent of their injuries.

In an email to Barrie 360, Barrie police said they were investigating whether the car flipped onto its side after striking a parked car.
