Contractors were working on the building when they discovered a random extension cord. The cord led them to the roof, where they found a woman living inside a sign.
The sign is a triangle sitting on top of an atrium of the building.
She decked out the small space with flooring, a mini desk, a pantry of food and even a houseplant.
The woman left the premises without any issues, and the store will not press any charges.
The store is making arrangements to get her belongings.
Police say they offered the woman housing assistance and other resources, but she declined their help. It's believed she has a vehicle.
SpartanNash, the parent company of Family Fare commented on the situation.
