Wonderland Announces Completion of World’s Longest, Tallest & Fastest Dive Coaster

Ready to Ride Spring 2019

The newest addition to Canada Wonderland’s collection of wild rides is the “Yukon Striker” and it’s already smashing records. After much anticipation, Wonderland announced today, February 4th, that the construction of the ride was complete.

The Yukon Striker is the longest, tallest and soon-to-be fastest Dive coaster in the world! It is also the only dive coaster in the world with a 360 degree loop.

The Yukon Striker will reach speeds up to 130 km/h.

The coaster will fire riders around at speeds up to 130 km/h, drop them down a 245 ft 90-degree drop, and shoot them though four dynamic inversions. This ride, lasting 3 minutes 25 seconds total, is designed for the ultimate ride warrior.

Each train carries 24 riders at a time.

The coaster is inspired by the historical Klondike Gold Rush that took place in Canada from 1896-1899. The design of the Yukon Striker reflects the treacherous journey along the Chilkoot Trail. Men and Women on the quest for limitless gold had to face a steep and punishing climb high into the coastal mountain range.

This coaster will dive 245 ft at 90 degrees.

Those who conquer the tallest mountain pass, or in this case, tallest roller coaster dive will rise worthy of the name “Yukon Striker”.

Wonderland will open May 3rd, 2019 and we’ve got a pretty good feeling we know what ride everyone will be racing to line-up for….

Guests will have the chance to ride the Yukon Striker for the first time May 3rd, 2019.
