York Regional Police Cruiser Rammed Twice In Attempt to Flee

Orillia Man Arrested And Charged

An Orillia man is up on charges after police say he rammed a cruiser in an attempt to flee.

York Regional Police officers were called out to a Beer Store on Yonge and Mulock Drive in Newmarket on Friday, November 29th, with reports of a possible impaired driver. An officer arrived on scene and blocked in the suspect’s vehicle. Police claim the driver instead ramped the police vehicle twice before driving into the wall of the store, fleeing on foot from there.

The vehicle had been reported stolen.

A 27-year-old Orillia man has since been arrested and charged in connection to this incident.
