Young Bradford boy’s Mother’s Day shopping trip leads to missing person investigation

Mom called police unaware he was out trying to find her a Mother's Day gift

Credit where credit is due: he was trying to do something nice.

Just after noon on Tuesday, a Bradford woman called South Simcoe Police Service to say her eight-year-old son was missing. Police immediately began searching for the young boy.

The young lad was found not long after, in good health, at a department store on Holland Street. He told police he walked there to buy a present for his mom ahead of Mother’s Day. He was advised to let someone know before leaving the house in the future.
