Youth charged with arson after fires in Angus

Nottawasaga OPP have charged a suspect in connection with three fires in Angus on Monday.

Police were called out around 3:48 p.m. to a report of a fire at a business on Roth Street. The fire was contained and there were no injuries.

About six minutes later, another call regarding a fire inside another business on Mill Street. Again, the fire was contained and there were no injuries.

A short time later, yet another fire, this time in a porta-potty on Greenwood Drive. No injuries were reported.

The damage total in these fires is unknown.

The suspect faces three arson-related charges.

Police say the person cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The individual has been released with a pending court appearance.
