According to a media release from South Simcoe Police (SSP) on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the alleged incident occurred on Nov. 23 between 2:20 and 2:35 p.m. in the Sobey's parking lot, where a grey Audi SUV was denied access to the parade route.

"The vehicle was afterwards observed driving in the Shoppers Drug Mart/Scotiabank plaza on Innisfil Beach Road. When the driver was unable to exit the lot due to the parade route, the vehicle jumped a curb and drove through a pedestrian catwalk/trail south of the plaza to leave the area, exiting onto Jans Boulevard," SSP stated in the Nov. 25 news release.
