A new petition has been started on Change.org that wants to add a Terry Fox display at Disney's Epcot Theme Park in Orlando, Florida.

The Terry Fox Run in Barrie burst through the $100,000 mark.

Sunday's event was a soaker as about 400 participants got drenched while raising funds, now in its 42nd year.

Spokesperson Marilyn Nigro says more than $90,000 was fundraised online with another $10,000 collected on the day of the run.

She says companies and individuals can still make donations until the end of October.

Area schools will be taking part in Terry Fox Runs this week and those tallies will be added to the count.
