Things appeared to be going smoothly after a collision between two pick-up trucks in Innisfil, but it did not end that way.
South Simcoe Police say the collision occurred around 11:20 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 at Line 7 and Yonge Street.
"As the driver of a silver Ram pick-up truck was turning left on Yonge Street, a male driver of a red GMC pick-up entered the intersection, colliding with the rear passenger side of the Ram truck," police said in a news release.
Both drivers pulled over to assess the damage. Police say the driver of the GMC failed to provide insurance information and drove away from the scene travelling eastbound on Line 7.
The suspect is described as white, slim build, bald head with brown facial hair, and wearing a dark grey shirt. He was driving a red GMC Sierra 1500 pick-up truck with a silver toolbox in the bed. The vehicle has minor damage to the front-end.
SSP is appealing to anyone who can identify him or has information or video footage from the area at the time of the incident to contact Police Constable Jack Slade at 705-436-2141 or 905-775-3311 or email jack.slade@southsimcoepolic.ca.
