45-year-old Bradford woman charged with impaired driving during Sunday RIDE stop

Officers conducted a roadside test at Miller Park and West Park after smelling alcohol

A 45-year-old Bradford woman was charged after testing over the legal limit at a South Simcoe Police RIDE program on Sunday.

Police noticed the smell of alcohol on a driver while stationed at Miller Park and West Park in Bradford at 8:20 a.m. Officers proceeded to conduct a roadside test and the driver was placed under arrest after failing.

She was charged with impaired driving and her license was suspended for 90 days. Her vehicle will also be impounded for seven days.

The driver was released and will appear in court sometime in the near future.
