48 new COVID-19 cases reported in Ontario on Sunday

Two more recoveries and two deaths

There are 48 new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario, bringing the provincial total to 424.

The Ontario government announced 2 more recoveries, bringing the total to eight.

The number of deaths has climbed to 5 – a man in his 70s in Toronto and a woman in her 70s in York Region.

Two of those deaths were in Barrie.

17,634 people in the province have tested negative for the virus and 8,361 people are under investigation.

Only seven patients and health units of the 47 new cases this morning were identified and none were listed in Simcoe Muskoka.

They were in Ottawa, Eastern Ontario, Hamilton, Toronto, Peel, Waterloo and Windsor-Essex.
