Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP charged a man on Thursday morning after a traffic stop led officers to believe he was impaired behind the wheel.
Around 12:30 a.m., patrolling officers near Beachwood Road and Highway 26 saw a vehicle displaying "poor driving behaviour," prompting a traffic stop. Police say he was driving 76 kilometres per hour, 26 over the posted limit, and with an obstructed licence plate.
Eventually, officers formed grounds the 34-year-old male driver from Collingwood was impaired while operating the vehicle.
He's facing 19 total charges including nine counts of driving while prohibited, three counts of failing to comply with probation, impaired driving, among others, obstructing and resisting a peace officer, refusal to comply with demand, obstructing his licence plate, speeding, and failing to surrender his licence.
The man was held for a bail hearing.
