Barrie’s business community gathered Friday for a celebration honouring some of the region’s most influential entrepreneurs, innovators, and professionals at the 2026 Women in Business Awards.
More than 300 attendees filled Liberty North for the annual luncheon hosted by the Barrie Chamber of Commerce.
Since its launch in 2018, the event has grown into one of the Chamber’s signature celebrations, spotlighting women whose leadership and commitment strengthen both the local economy and the broader community.
“Every year the energy in the room reminds us just how remarkable this community is,” said Salim Bardai, President of the Barrie Chamber of Commerce. “These leaders are not being recognized simply because they are women. They are being recognized because they are among the very best in business, leadership and community impact.”
The awards ceremony followed a keynote address from Dr. Béatrice Séguin, global health and innovation leader, founder of Estra, and co‑founder of MOB Beauty. Her talk focused on leadership, resilience, and empowering women across all sectors of business.
