Barrie police arrested a man for impaired driving after officers responded to a south Barrie home last Tuesday regarding unwanted individuals on the property.
Police say they interacted with a man holding a can of beer who was showing signs of impairment, including slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and uncooperative behaviour.
After he was told to leave the residence, police allege the man got into the driver's seat of a parked vehicle.

Police arrested the man before he could drive away. He was taken to police headquarters, where breath tests confirmed he was over the legal limit.
As a result, the 59-year-old from Barrie was charged with impaired driving.
His driver's licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
"Barrie Police remind motorists that if you plan to consume alcohol or drugs, you cannot get behind the wheel of a vehicle, even one that is parked," police stated in a news release.
