Deadly crash in Bracebridge, driver charged with impaired

A 25-year-old Bracebridge man is facing charges after a deadly crash involving a motorcycle.

Ontario Provincial Police say that around 10:45 Thursday night, emergency crews responded to a collision on Ecclestone Drive near Kirkhill Drive in Bracebridge.

Police say a motor vehicle and a motorcycle collided. The 23-year-old rider from Bracebridge was taken to the hospital, but despite live-saving measures, he died of his injuries.

The other driver has been charged with impaired driving causing death and dangerous operation causing death.

He has bail hearing on Friday.
