Voting continues through the weekend ahead of Election Day on Monday, October 26. Eligible electors can vote for the offices of Mayor, Councillor and School Board Trustee online or by telephone, 24 hours a day, until voting closes at 8 p.m. on October 26.
To vote online, electors can visit the website listed in their Voter Information Letter. To vote by telephone, electors can call the number provided in the letter. Both methods require electors to enter the PIN included in their voter information letter and date of birth, make their selections and confirm their ballot through the secure voting platform. Electors who have not received their letter or require assistance are encouraged to contact the Election Office at 705-728-VOTE (8683) or visit a Voter Assistance Centre before voting closes.
Voter Assistance Centres are open today, Friday, October 23, until 8 p.m., and Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., for voters who need in-person assistance. Staff can assist with using the digital voting platform and issuing or replacing voting PINs.
Voter Assistance Centres are located at:
- Allandale Recreation Centre, 190 Bayview Drive
- City Hall, 70 Collier Street
- East Bayfield Community Centre, 80 Livingstone Street East
- Parkview Centre, 189 Blake Street
- Peggy Hill Team Community Centre, 171 Mapleton Avenue
- Surface Water Treatment Plant, 20 Royal Parkside Drive
Voter Assistance Centres will also be open on Election Day, Monday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Following a comprehensive review of ward boundaries in 2025, new ward boundaries will take effect for the 2026–2030 term of Council. Electors are encouraged to confirm the ward identified in their Voter Information Letter before casting their vote, as some electors may be voting in a different ward than in previous elections.
Unofficial election results will be available following the close of voting on Monday, October 26 at barrie.ca/ElectionResults. The new 2026-2030 term of Barrie City Council will begin on November 15, 2026.
