The body of a camper who was reported missing has been located by police in Severn Township.

OPP say they were contacted around 11 p.m. Wednesday regarding a man who had gone fishing on Burrows Lake, northeast of Port Severn, and who failed to return home at the scheduled time.

Family members located his campsite.

Police found the 71-year-old man dead near where he had been camping.

No foul play is suspected.

The Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario is assisting with the investigation.
