The citizen reported that the motorist swerved onto a lawn on Penetang Street, hit a hydro pole and then continued to a home in the area of Cundles Road East and Daphne Crescent.

Officers dropped by and noticed a vehicle parked in the driveway with fresh damage to the front left corner.

Police asked the driver to provide a breath sample, which he allegedly refused to do.

A 30-year-old Barrie man was charged with:

The man's driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle is in the impound for a week.
