Drug investigation leads to arrests in Wasaga Beach

Police say they seized cocaine and pills
OPP upgrade charges after driver dies of injuries in Highway 12 crash near Gambridge

Provincial police swooped in on a Wasaga Beach property and arrested suspects in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

Street Crime Units from several OPP detachments including Huronia West, Collingwood and Southern Georgian Bay along with uniformed officers executed a search warrant last Thursday.

As a result, a 53-year-old and a 38-year-old both of Wasaga Beach face trafficking and property obtained by crime charges.

Police also put the handcuffs on a 32-year-old man of no fixed address as he was wanted on a warrant in Collingwood for failing to attend court.

Police say they seized the following items:

• A quantity of Cocaine and pills

• Tools reported stolen from break and enters in the Wasaga Beach area

• Other evidence of drug trafficking
