A section of Yonge Street will be closed for three days as crews complete a critical deep sanitary sewer connection as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in south Barrie.
Yonge Street will be closed between St. Paul’s Crescent and Mapleview Drive East beginning Tuesday, July 14, and will reopen on Friday, July 17.
Motorists will be diverted via St. Paul's Crescent to reach Mapleview Drive East or connect back to Yonge Street.
The temporary closure is required to allow the contractor to install a deep sanitary sewer connection. To minimize the overall construction schedule and reduce long-term impacts on residents and motorists, work will continue around the clock during the closure.
