The suspect connected to a series of break-ins on the northeast end of Barrie was tracked down and arrested by police on Thursday morning.
Barrie Police say an officer patrolling the area of Perry Street at Milligan's pond noticed suspicious activity and began investigating. A closer look revealed that someone spotted nearby believed to be an outstanding suspect from an investigation into break-and-enters earlier in July.
The suspect fled on a bicycle, but was tracked down shortly after by officers on foot and a canine track. He was taken into custody.
Charges remain unconfirmed, while police say the investigation is ongoing.
Barrie Police had been investigating after two break-ins were reported in the area of Bell Farm Road on the morning of July 23. Surveillance video retrieved from both areas showed a suspect consistent with both incidents.
