(Update) Children, adult struck by vehicle on Mapleview Drive West in Barrie

Barrie Police are on the scene of a serious collision on Mapleview Drive West after two children and a woman were struck while crossing the street Friday morning.

Police say a five-year-old boy and the woman were transported via ambulance to a trauma centre in Toronto, and a nine-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital.

The female driver remained on scene.

Mapleview Drive West is closed between Garibaldi Drive and Nakiska Court until further notice.
