A 36-year-old Collingwood man is facing several charges after police say he climbed the town's water tower Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to the water tower after receiving multiple reports of a man on the structure.
Police and Collingwood firefighters attended the scene and spoke with the man, who eventually came down safely.
The man was charged with mischief endangering life, entering premises when entry is prohibited, engaging in a prohibited activity on premises, being intoxicated in a public place and failing to comply with a probation order.
Police say the accused was held for a bail hearing.
