South Simcoe Police say that shortly after 7:30 on Saturday morning, officers responded to a collision on Canal Road.
Both vehicles, a Honda truck and a Lexus SUV, were found in a ditch.
Police say the initial investigation has determined the Honda was westbound on Canal Road and the Lexus was eastbound, and when they approached a bend in the road, the Honda crossed the centre line and collided with the Lexus.

Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital.
The two dogs died at the scene.
