
Barrie Police have laid numerous charges against a man after officers spotted what appeared to be drug transactions downtown near Maple Avenue.
During the arrest on Tuesday, police say officers located a significant quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine. They also seized about $4,300 in Canadian cash and an expandable baton, and several pieces of identification belonging to other individuals which had been previously reported stolen from vehicles.
A 36-year-old from Barrie is facing several drug-related offences, as well as a charge of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, carrying a concealed prohibited device or ammunition, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of theft under $5,000.
