A child is in stable condition after being seriously injured when they were struck by a vehicle in Innisfil.
South Simcoe Police were called to the intersection of Webster Boulevard and Rankin Way around 4:35 p.m. Monday.
Police say the 10-year-old was riding a bicycle when they were struck by a black Nissan Rogue that was exiting a parking lot.
The child became trapped underneath the vehicle, which continued travelling a short distance before stopping.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
The child was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
