Residents in Clearview can now cast their ballots in the municipality's 2026 election, with online and telephone voting underway.
Electors have until 8 p.m. on Oct. 26 to vote for mayor, deputy mayor, ward councillors and school board trustees.
Voter Information Letters, mailed to eligible electors in September, contain everything needed to vote, including voting credentials, the voting website and telephone number.
Anyone who did not receive a Voter Information Letter is encouraged to contact the Clearview Election Team at 705-428-6230 ext. 274, email election@clearview.ca, or visit the Clearview Administration Centre at 217 Gideon St. in Stayner during regular office hours.
Clearview is encouraging residents to take advantage of the convenience of voting from home online or by phone. A step-by-step instructional video is available to guide electors through the process.
For those who need assistance, Election Services Centres will operate throughout the voting period. Staff will be available to help voters access online voting kiosks, update voter information, add names to the voters' list and answer questions about the election process.
During the advance voting period, election services will be available at the Clearview Administration Centre on weekdays from Oct. 13 to Oct. 23 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Additional after-hours sessions are scheduled for Oct. 14 and Oct. 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A special Saturday session will be held Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at Clearview Community Church in Nottawa.
On Election Day, Oct. 26, voters can access election services from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at three locations: the Clearview Administration Centre in Stayner, the New Lowell Joint Operations Centre and the Creemore Arena and Community Centre.
Information about voting, Election Services Centres and certified candidates is available on the municipality's election website.
