A 25-year-old Etobicoke man was charged with stunt driving, dangerous driving and speeding after Ontario Provincial Police said they clocked his BMW at 238 km/h on Highway 400 in King Township.
Police say officers spotted the vehicle travelling more than twice the posted 110 km/h speed limit shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
"Thankfully, officers were able to intercept this vehicle and stop it before any collision could have occurred," police stated in a social media post.
The man's vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and his licence was suspended for 30 days.
