The South Simcoe Police Service made three impaired driving arrests over the weekend which included a vehicle that crashed into a house.
Started on Saturday around 3:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Big Bay Point Road and 20th Sideroad in Innisfil.
Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.
A 78-year-old Oshawa woman was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Excess Blood Alcohol
- Dangerous Operation
- Drive Motor Vehicle Currently No Validated Permit
Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Later in the evening around 8:20 p.m., officers say a report came in about a vehicle that had sideswiped another vehicle in the area of Aishford Road and Gwillimbury Drive in Bradford.
Police say the suspect vehicle left the scene but officers later located it and the driver.
A 43-year-old Bradford woman was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Excess Blood Alcohol
- Failure to Stop After Accident
Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Then on Sunday around 3:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into the front door of a home in the Simcoe Road and Walker Avenue area in Bradford.
The driver was arrested at the scene.
A 49-year-old Newmarket man faces the following charges:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Excess Blood Alcohol
- Dangerous Operation
He was treated in hospital for minor injuries and released.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
