Three people face a total of 13 charges, mostly for drug trafficking, after police tactical teams executed what OPP say were numerous search warrants in New Tecumseth and Barrie.
"These locations included residences and businesses associated with the accused," according to an OPP news release on Thursday.
Among the locations raided by police on Wednesday afternoon was a downtown Barrie business on Bayfield Street near Dunlop Street.
"As a result of the investigation, police seized a quantity of drugs including over 60 grams of cocaine, fentanyl, and over 430 grams of khat. Additionally, several items related to drug trafficking, over 50 cartons of unmarked cigarettes, a conducted energy weapon, body armour and two motor vehicles were seized," police stated.
Charges have been laid against a 27-year-old from Alliston, a 46-year-old from Barrie and a 40-year-old from Mississauga.
The three suspects were released with a November court date.
"Due to the nature of the investigation, and to protect the integrity of the investigation, no other information will be released," police added in the news release.
