An Innisfil man is facing numerous charges following an alleged assault at a home in the area of Yonge Street and Victoria Street in Stroud.
South Simcoe Police say they received a report of a robbery call shortly before 9 a.m. Friday.
This resulted in a brief hold and secure near Sunnybrae Public School.
"A 21-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," police said in a media release. "The suspect took several items from the home and had left the scene on foot."
Police later went to a home in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and 20th Sideroad where the suspect was arrested without incident.
The 28-year-old was charged with:
- robbery
- assault with a weapon
- assault causing bodily harm
- break and enter
- uttering threats to cause death
- mischief under $5,000
- breach of probation order
- breach of probation order
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
Police believe this was an isolated incident.
