Midland man found in ditch, charged with impaired driving

Southern Georgian Bay OPP have arrested a 75-year-old man with impaired driving after finding his car in a ditch.

According to police, they received a report at approximately 2:23 p.m. on Monday. They found a Ford pickup in a ditch on Old Fort Road near Elliott Side Road in Tay Township. After speaking with the driver, police placed the man under arrest.

After the completion of their investigation police say they charged the man with five offenses. 

The man was issued a 90 day driver's licence suspension along with the vehicle being towed and impounded for seven days.

The accused will appear in court on March 28.
