Two men were arrested and face charges after OPP responded to a report of a shooting in Wasaga Beach last week.
Huronia West OPP were called to Mosley Street around 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20.
They say the victim suffered "moderate" injuries, which were treated on scene by the EMS.
"Both the accused were still on the premises when police arrived and were arrested without incident," police said in a release. "During the investigation, police seized 0.8 grams of fentanyl."
The next day, a search warrant was executed at the residence of one of the suspects.
OPP seized:
- Glock air pistol
- Beretta air pistol
- Air pistol
A 48-year-old from Wasaga Beach was charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Pointing a firearm
- Careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Firearm - use while committing offence
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
- Robbery with weapon
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
- Possession of a schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)
And another from Wasaga Beach, a 40-year-old is up on the following charges:
- Assault with a weapon
- Pointing a firearm
- Firearm - use while committing offence
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Break, enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Robbery with weapon
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
The two are scheduled for court in Barrie at a future date.
