"We've added more food vendors now that we have all of Centennial Beach and South Shore parks back this year," said Tom Aikins, Marketing and Entertainment co-ordinator for Kempenfest. Aikins says they have around 375 artisans, from arts and crafts exhibitors, antique dealers, food, beer and entertainment.

When and Where

The festival runs all long-weekend. Kempenfest will use both Centennial Beach and South Shore parks again this year, which means more food vendors and more room for the 375 artisans, crafts exhibitors and antique dealers. City Transit will be offering free shuttle rides to Kempenfest Saturday, Sunday & Holiday Monday. You can park at the Barrie Molson Centre, Allandale Recreation Centre, or the Bayfield Mall and take a free shuttle to Kempenfest.

Can't sell your significant other on a day out drinking beer? Tell them it's Canadian-made, not watered-down American beer, and it's about being patriotic - after all we're in the middle of a trade-war with our Southern neighbours. It's a chance to wet your whistle and fill your belly at the Craft Beer and BBQ Festival at Heritage Park and Meridian Place.

When and Where

All weekend at Heritage Park and Meridian Place. The organizers say they've scoured the province for what they believe is the very "best of the best in craft breweries."
