It was a foodie's dream at Liberty North over the weekend when Barrie's Top Chef was crowned at the hottest culinary event of the year. 11 local chefs took part in "Top Cheflicious".

All 11 chefs created delicious dishes, but it was Amanda Rider and her team from Dunlop Street Diner who took home the crown thanks to their roast beef & yorkshire benedict with pickled beet horseradish & brown butter hollandaise.

Rider said the inspiration for the dish came from her own family, as yorkshire pudding and roast beef was a staple of her family meals growing up. They decided to put a breakfast spin on the dish to pay homage to how they do things "down at the diner" .
