Molded Precision Components (MPC) has begun full-scale, volume production of Shield-U headbands to meet federal, multi-province, and other supply contracts, along with donations to local businesses.
While the second phase of COVID-19 recovery means that many businesses may begin accepting customers once again, it has also brought with it difficulty in acquiring the proper Personal Protective Equipment needed to do so safely.
“It has been very difficult for local businesses to find PPE,” commented Andrew Bird, Director of Strategic Business Development at Molded Precision Components, “let alone quality solutions that allow their staff to work comfortably and provide patrons with confidence.”
MPC has pledged to donate over 25,000 face shields to the community and has already handed out over 2650 of them to businesses that have reopened or will be reopening soon.
David Yeaman, President and Co-Owner of MPC said, "Since the pandemic began, everything has been taking longer and is costing more to ship, let alone the challenges of even finding quality PPE. Many of these businesses simply can’t get operational again without it so we are very happy to put a locally-manufactured solution in their hands.”
