With the Tokyo Olympics wrapping up in a few days, you might have watched a few of the events and thought "that looks fun!" (okay, maybe not the 3000m steeplechase). Well, if gliding across the water with a group of friends seemed like it was right up your alley, you can try it for free before you dive into a club or membership.

The free event will take place on August 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. behind Barrie's South Shore Centre. You'll be paired up with an experienced rower who will take you out for a morning tour of Kempenfelt Bay, giving you training and tips along the way.
