If you missed it in theatres, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is hitting Disney Plus soon!
Shang-Chi was the film that followed Black Widow but was the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to follow the events of Avengers: Endgame. Martial-arts master Shang-Chi confronts the past he thought he left behind when he's drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.
Shang-Chi was initially released in September to high praise from fans and critics alike. Many cited the fantastic visual effects, awesome fight scenes, and pitch-perfect performance from leading man Simu Liu as the driving forces behind the film.
Before Shang-Chi, Disney experimented with a dual release strategy for Black Widow, allowing it to be purchased from Disney Plus for a premium fee along with releasing it in theatres. Shang-Chi on the other hand went with a full theatrical exclusive run. Shang-Chi ended up just shy of the box office pull that Black Widow had, but seeing as it was a new IP (even a Marvel one), many considered it a huge success in the midst of a pandemic.
Marvel also got into a bit of hot water when Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson sued them for their dual release of the film. However, that matter was settled without damaging the future projects the two would work on (including an upcoming movie adaptation of the ride Tower of Terror).

The good news is that not only is Shang-Chi hitting Disney Plus on November 12, but it will also come without the premium price tag. As long as you have a subscription, you're good to go!
