Amanda Bynes seeks to end nine-year conservatorship
Amanda Bynes is looking to end her 9-year conservatorship and has the full support of her family.
The former Nickelodeon actress was placed under conservatorship in 2013 after setting fire to a driveway, along with a string of other strange occurrences.
Her mother, Lynn Bynes, was given legal control over her daughter's personal, medical, and financial affairs.
According to TMZ, Bynes's lawyer explains that the conservatorship was never meant to be permanent, and the goal was always for it to end.
The 35-year-old actress has been sober for several years.
She's currently pursuing a bachelor's degree while attending the California Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
