Oscar winning producer Alan Ladd Jr dies at 84
Alan Ladd Jr, the man who gave Star Wars the greenlight has died at the age of 84.
Ladd was a 20th-Century Fox producer in the 1970's when George Lucas walked into his office with his idea for Star Wars.
The story goes that Ladd didn't fully understand Lucas's vision but had faith in the filmmaker and said yes to the project.
Known as "Laddie," he also co-produced Blade Runner, the Police Academy movies, along with countless others.
Other films he greenlit went on to win 50 Oscars and 150 nominations.
Pamela Anderson makes a documentary for Netflix
Pamela Anderson has announced she's making a Netflix documentary to set the record straight.
On her Instagram, she posted a note on Netflix letterhead that read: "My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild, and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor. And alive to tell the real story."
Anderson's son, Brandon Thomas Lee, serves as a producer on the film.
Netflix says the documentary will "feature the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey."
The documentary comes a few months following Hulu's limited series "Pam & Tommy," which focuses on the couple's marriage and leaked sex tape.

Dancing with the Stars Judge returns from Ukraine
Dancing with the Stars Judge Maksim Chmerkovskiy has returned to the U.S from Ukraine.
Maksin was in the country to judge a Ukrainian version of the show when war broke out last week.
He began documenting what was happening and his journey home.
A video from Entertainment Tonight shows his emotional return to Las Angeles. He told reporters, "I just don't want to resent peace somewhere else because of what I just saw; that's the reality. I don't know really what to say right this second."
Maksim is from Ukraine and left the country when he was 14 years old.
