A woman who accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault has won her civil case against him and has been awarded $500 thousand.
A jury in Santa Monica, California, has ruled that an 84-year-old comedian sexually abused a 16-year-old at the playboy mansion in 1975.
Judy Huth, now 64, told jurors Cosby befriended her and her friend on a movie set when she was a minor. Days later, he brought them to Hugh Hefner's home and forced her to perform a sex act on him.
Speaking to the Associated Press, Huth said pursuing the case was like being "ripped apart," "thrown under the bus and backed over." She says the win is a big victory for her and the other accusers.
She adds that having jurors believe her story means more than $500-thousand.
Cosby didn't testify during the trial, but jurors were shown clips of a deposition he gave. In it, he denied any sexual contact with Huth.
