New Taylor Swift single "Carolina" featured in the upcoming film "Where the Crawdads Sing"

Taylor Swift has released new music in anticipation of the movie "Where the Crawdads Sing."

The song "Carolina" was released at midnight and has a beautiful, moody, and gloomy feel. If you're familiar with the book "Where the Crawdads Sing," you can say she nailed the mood perfectly.

Taylor was such a big fan of the Delia Owens novel that she jumped at the chance to write a song for the film, which Reese Witherspoon produces.

She explained in a social media post, "I got absolutely lost in it when I read it years ago. As soon as I heard there was a film in the works, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side."

You can catch the trailer below. The movie comes out July 15.
